Hannah Corr
Hannah Corr has been studying various forms of dance for over 20 years. Her passion is Middle Eastern Dance and she possesses extensive knowledge of the dances, music and costumes of the countries that make up this area. In her 8 years of teaching, she has developed an understanding of the spiritual, historical and social context in which these dances are enjoyed.
She has a great love of Arabic music and has knowledge of ancient & modern instruments, drumming & rhythm and the composition of Arabic songs. Her workshops cover many styles of dance from Egyptian bellydance & Bedouin to Kurdish & Algerian folk dancing. These not only enhance co-ordination and teach children new ways of moving, they allow children to find their own self expression in the music. As well as being lighthearted and fun, her workshops introduce children to the experience of life in the Middle East and promote diversity and understanding.
