Multicultural Artists and Educators

Our Chinese ribbon dancing and lantern making workshops are always fun and interactive. Similarly, the mandarin calligraphy lessons get the children writing their own names in Chinese!

Our artists are very experienced in costume making and design. They can assist the children to make Indian saris, African costumes or national dress from a multitude of nations. Art from around the world figures greatly with our artists and there are many options for practical art workshops.

Our experienced storytellers can bring the adventure to life and take the children to Indian or Africa in the blink of an eye!! We are always mindful that the children are aware that the artists replicate traditional themes and life is not always mud huts and jungles! We have professional culinary experts who can provide the children with delicacies from around the world to taste! Our make up artists can turn your female pupils into Bollywood stars with Indian henna tattoos and bindi’s, using modern techniques.

At Cydradd, we have a multitude of very experienced multicultural artists, performers, and educators. Our artists hail from many different continents around the world and have honed their skills over many years. Many have worked in schools undertaking workshops for many years in their chosen profession.

The artists can educate and inform children about various cultural topics, such as singing dancing, acting, playing different musical instruments, storytelling, art and textiles to name just a few. The artists perform Bhangra singing and dancing, Indian dancing, Middle Eastern belly dancing, Indian classical and Bollywood dancing. We have South American samba and salsa dancing workshops.

African drumming is always a favourite with the children who thoroughly enjoy drumming out the beat!
